How does the mulch blowing service offered by Applied Landscape Materials stack up against other landscaping methods?
Advantages of Mulch Blowing
Save Time & Money. The traditional way of spreading mulch is both time and labor intensive. With our service being 5x times faster than traditional methods, combined with our volume purchasing advantage, we can offer the lowest price in the industry, using the highest-grade material.
Better Quality. Installing mulch by hand will result in uneven distribution and varying depths. With a blower system, the air flow produces an even distribution of mulch, increasing our ability to provide a smooth, consistent installation that is unobtainable by hand.
Flexibility. Our unique installation approach allows us to effortlessly install in hard-to-reach places like steep hills, long distances and yards that are inaccessible to wheelbarrows.
Accurate Placement. We install mulch in the exact location you need it without damaging your landscape due to heavy equipment and/or repeated trips with a wheelbarrow.

Say goodbye to the hassle of traditional bark installation methods and hello to the convenience of our bark blowing services. Our professional team will efficiently and quickly provide you with a clean and uniform look that prevents soil erosion, weed growth, conserves water, and protects your plants.
Bark blowing services involve using specialty equipment to blow mulch or bark chips onto landscaped areas, which is a quick and efficient installation method compared to traditional methods. By using air to apply the mulch, it reduces the time, effort, and cost needed for the installation process.
Today, the bark blowing industry is a well-established and thriving part of the landscaping business, with a range of different machines and techniques available to apply bark mulch quickly and efficiently to all types of landscaping projects.
Our process begins with a confirmation call to our customers the day before their install. The more information you can give when placing the order, the better!
Prior to installing any bark on the day of the install, our onsite job lead will walk the job site with the customer to confirm what areas will be mulched. After confirming the installation areas with the customer, the team retrieves the hose from the truck and pulls the hose to the furthest distance from the truck.
We typically spray mulch from the furthest distance first and work our way back to the blower trailer.
To conclude, the crew will come back through with backpack blowers to clean-up any overspray back into the proper places. The lead will perform a quality control walk through before leaving.
There is never any dumping of material. No need for back-and-forth trips, causing damage to your soil, lawns and landscape.
With our process, we can spray 75 cubic yards per hour (compared to conventional methods where a two-man crew spreads roughly eight cubic yards per hour).
