About Us

Northern California’s Premier Mulch Blow-in Installation Company

Applied Landscape Materials is a local, A+ Better Business Bureau rated, family owned business that was founded in 2006. We are focused on providing and installing natural and recycled wood mulch materials to commercial, municipal, educational, and homeowner clients throughout Northern California. Applied Landscape Materials utilizes state-of-the-art blower trailers for delivery and installation.

Giving Back to the Communities We Serve

At Applied Landscape Materials, we believe it is a fundamental business obligation to give back to the communities we serve. Our Philanthropic Model is to leverage our technology, people, and resources to improve communities throughout Greater Northern California. We take pride in giving back by donating material and installing it free of charge to non-profits and water conservation programs.

We have a diverse customer base providing services for a variety of projects such as: Playgrounds, Municipal Parks and Streetscapes, Apartments, Homeowner Associations, Business Parks, Shopping Centers, Roadways, Freeways, Athletic Fields, Wineries, Private Residences, and Special Events. Applied Landscape Materials is widely regarded in the landscape and mulch industry as the most professional and reliable blow-in mulch installation company in Northern California.

Our Business is Spreading!

Applied Landscape Materials began with a single 5 cubic yard blower trailer in 2006 (pictured below).  Over the past ten years, we have expanded from that single, pull along trailer and a skid steer, to a fleet of 9 of the most advanced blower tractor-trailer combinations in all of California. Our blower trailers can carry up to 90 cubic yards of material giving us the capacity to install more than 100,000 cubic yards of mulch per year.

To better serve our customers and reduce the cost of our products and services, we’ve grown from a single yard in the Sacramento region to additional yards strategically located to serve all of Northern California. By locating closer to customer demand, we reduce wear and tear on the local transportation infrastructure and improve air quality by traveling less vehicle miles. This results in less impact to the environment in the communities we serve.
